Hello my Kiss of Beauty Lash Babe and welcome! My name is Akeelah Mathison and I am a Certified Eyelash Technician. I began my lashing career during the pandemic back in February of 2021. Like a lot of people who wanted to have control over their own finances, I took the journey into entrepreneurship. I am a wife and mother of 3 amazing girls, with that being said, we were all in our home together for a long time. HAHA! My mother, aunts and grandmothers know what I mean. Well, self-care became a thing of the past for a while, between the having very little time to myself and just personal maintenance overall. Being home really made it easy to lose those things that we used to always try to make time for, me anyway. When I was finally able to get back outside in the world, mask or no mask, I had a reason to get dolled up again. Lashes were one of the first things that I gave back to myself on the journey back to me, back to the routine, back to myself. When I tell you how carefree and amazing I felt after, I said to myself, "Well I'm an artist, I can do this for all of my beauties too". So I made a plan, started my journey and now here I am, a little over a year later and it still feels like I’m living in a dream that keeps getting better. Building Kiss of Beauty Lashes is not only an outlet for me but most importantly an outlet for my clients that know they deserve a lot of love and tlc for and from themselves. We sometimes forget how rejuvenating it is to just take a break and pour back into ourselves. That's exactly what Kiss of Beauty Lashes is here for. Rest, relax, regroup and wake up (or look up) feeling amazing. One of my great friends loves to say, “You deserve it ,” which i do and guess what, so do you. I love it here and you will too!
